We each face our unique difficulties when living life following our mission. Yung iba sa atin shy, yung iba might think na hindi maganda ang testimony nila. Whatever challenge you are facing, you can look at it as an opportunity to put your trust in God and step out of your comfort zone.

Sometimes our comfort zone is the very thing that prevents us from experiencing how powerfully God can use someone. Yung fear natin takes the place of faith because we tend to rely on our own strength. When you find yourself stuck in your comfort zone, ano ang pwede natin gawin to find the courage and the faith to step out in obedience to God’s mission?

Let’s look at apostle Peter and paano niya nagawa ang hindi pa nagagawa ng kahit sinong tao aside from Jesus. When he stepped out in faith Jesus allowed Peter to do something as amazing as walking on water. Pero hindi automatic na kaya nalang bigla na Peter maglakad sa tubig, he had to make some steps in faith so the Jesus could empower him to do what he did.

Ask for Jesus’ Command

“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” (Matthew 14:28). It’s ok to ask for confirmation from God to tell you what you have to do. Dapat lang na ready ka to obey when God speaks to you. This is why it’s important that we keep reading our Bibles. Let God speak to you and confirm His mission for you. This will give you more peace, because when the Lord commands you, siya din ang magbibigay sayo ng strength para ma accomplish ang kailangan mo gawin.

Step off the Boat

If you remember the story, may malaking bagyo at the time that Jesus called Peter to come to him. Now Peter was an experienced fisherman, and he was well aware of the danger of stepping out of the boat during the storm. These are the times na importante for us to lead with faith rather than worrying about all the factors. Trust that God will be the one to overcome the obstacles along the way.

Eyes on Jesus

While he was focused on Jesus, Peter was able to walk on water. The moment that he started looking around him, that was when fear was working greater than his faith. Sa walks natin, it’s also a step by step decision to put our trust in Jesus. If we focus too much on why things might not work, we’re not seeing the possibilities of what Jesus can do through us.

If you take these few steps of faith, magugulat ka nalang what God can do through you. The more you obey, the more you trust in Him, the more also that He can work powerfully through you. I hope that all of us would be able to confidently step out of our comfort zones and do great things for the glory of God.
