Seeing the Good in 2020

Kamusta ang 2020 mo? When we look back into the past year, ang dami nating challenges nating pinagdaanan. You might have it worse or easier than some but that doesn’t discount what you’ve been through this year. You might have faced some challenges that stretched your faith and your trust in God. Baka may kailangan ka i-overcome na challenge or baka may ni-reveal sayo si God na kailangan mo i let go. Whatever you’ve been through this year, let me just encourage you that all of it was not in vain.

One of the most recognized verses is Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” It’s something na gusto nating panghawakan especially when we’re going through trial. It’s a comforting fact that when God said this to Israel, they were also going through their own challenges. The Israelites were facing exile and were scattered as a people. Kapag tayo humaharap ng trial, do we hold on to the promise of God?

“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).” When we look back into our year, paano natin makikita ang good na nangyari? For one thing 2020 has made us stronger. Nakita natin kung ano talaga ang importante sa buhay. We were able to reprioritize and recognize the blessings that we have. For some of us we were given opportunities to increase in our faith in God. Baka may pinagdaanan ka that gave you no choice but to rely in God. All of these things God uses to prepare us for greater things and even greater ways that we can glorify Him.

Let’s be thankful to God that He continues to work in our lives. Na ginagamit niya lahat ng situation to work in us and to sanctify us. Let’s look at 2020 as a year of preparation for us, for the things that are ahead of us.
