Early on in his Christian life, may passion na si Carlo to serve people and to serve in ministry. From when he first put his faith in Jesus Christ, ginawa ni Carlo na ma-involve sa mga ministry na available sa kaniya in church. After a while nakakilala siya ng full time missionary, at dun nagsimula ang journey niya as an independent, self-funded missionary.

I realised that the Gospel should not be limited to where my comfort zone is.

So blessed during his time in the mission trip, it was when na-miss ni Carlo na makasama sa isang trip dahil sa work na pumasok sa puso niya to quit work to be a full time missionary. It wasn’t an easy decision, with Carlo having children to support and being unsure of when his savings and investments would last. Pero with lots of advice from spiritual mentors and confirmation from God, Carlo resigned from work to become a missionary full-time.

Then the Covid-19 pandemic put the Philippines on lockdown.

Ikaw ba ano ba mararamdaman mo if you were in Carlo’s situation? While some might be down and struggling, Carlo shows uncanny enthusiasm and has a good outlook, making the most of his time sharing the Gospel and the Word of God through videos he posts on social media. Reaching out and talking to people online regarding Jesus.

How can Carlo focus on sharing the Gospel when he has other problems?

You just have to look at the bigger picture.

Carlo reminds us that beyond the current sufferings, there are also people who are facing a worse fate than Covid-19. There are people who are looking at eternal separation from Christ, and that we don’t have to spend so much time over our own troubles and start reaching out to people for Jesus.

Will you share the Gospel today?
