Evangelism for Introverts

Alam mo na God wants you to share His Gospel message and gusto mo rin naman na makilala Siya ng iba. Pero introvert ka, and you dread evangelism dahil sa thought of “forcing” conversation with other people sa public places is just not for you.

Still, God has called introverts to proclaim the Gospel just as much as extroverts. In fact, sinabi sa Bible na alhat would have to take up the call to make him known:

Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.” (Matthew 9:37)

Hindi man ikaw ‘yung tip na mag ppreach ng Gospel sa harap ng maraming tao, pero you can share your faith just as successfully katulad ng iba dahil nag ddwell din sa iyo ang Holy Spirit! Kahit pa introvert ka, mayroon kang unique strength sa personality mo na makakatulong sa iyo to share your faith in powerful ways!

Overcome your fears

From being the center of everyone’s attention and wondering how others perceive you to having anxiety over the possibility of saying the wrong thing and being rejected for what you say. Pansinin mo ang theme ng lahat ng kinatatakutan mo ay naka focus sa sarili mo. Kailangan mo lamang i-shift ang focus mo outside, toward the people na gusto mong i-reach for Jesus at sa mga pangangailangan nila. Tandaan mo na ang Diyos ang mag-eempower sa iyo to do whatever He calls you to do, kaya wag kang mangamba. Ask God to work through you at mag-tiwala ka na He will do so.

Focus on loving the people you’re trying to reach rather than your technique in reaching them, because perfect love drives out fear (1 John 4:18). Pray about your fears and expect God to help you and work through you to reach out to others despite your introversion.
